Jerry Hyde FCCA ACA – Director
Jerry Hyde is LEES Director of Grant Audit Services. With over 25 years experience, he is an expert in not-for-profit organisations and heads LEES dedicated grant auditing division. Jerry has extensive knowledge of grant funds and has been engaged as First Level Controller and independent auditor on hundreds of projects.

Ellen Thompson CA – Senior Grant Audit Manager
As the Senior Grant Audit Manager, Ellen is responsible for the operational aspects of all Grant Audit contracts. Ellen has managed audits on hundreds of projects and regularly attends CPD and EU update courses. She has been working with various clients on grant audits since 2004 across EU Framework programme 5, 6, 7 and Horizon 2020; and INTERREG III, IV and V, among various other streams.
Ellen also has specialist experience in grants funded by the US Federal Government. She studied as part of her training at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, before going on to work for one of the largest Certified Public Accountancy firms in the US. As US Federal Funding has become more popular in the UK and Europe over the past few years, Ellen has helped grow LEES into one of the key audit firms in the UK offering Single Audit services to institutions requiring support in this area of grant compliance.
Jonathan Gray – Grant Audit Manager
Jonathan Gray joined LEES with significant experience in grant finance and administration. Jonathan has worked in the HEI sector since 2007, specifically within grant finance. He is highly knowledgeable regarding the financial administration of all types of grants and fully conversant in standard HEI financial procedures and practices including Full Economic Costing and TRAC accounting. Jonathan also has significant experience in working with SMEs and larger companies in all aspects of grant finance, as part of his various roles in international collaborative projects. Given his depth and understanding of grant administration, he adds a practical dimension to the team, with real understanding of the specifics of grant funding.
