LEES will attend and present at two major conferences in Summer 2018.  INORMS is an international conference for Research Managers and Administrators, held this year in Edinburgh. LEES will be presenting on current grant audit issues in their dedicated session on Audit and Compliance, as well as exhibiting  as a sponsor of the event. NCURA hold an annual conference dedicated to US Federal Funding. LEES will be presenting a dedicated session on the fundamental differences between US Federal and European Audit.

LEES ran two Virtual Meetings in association with the Association for Research Managers Administrators (ARMA) on the procedures and sufficient evidence required for Horizon:2020 audits. LEES are co-champions of ARMA’s Audit and Compliance Special Interest Group.

We attended the training session for First Level Controllers under the INTERREG V programme for the 2 Seas. The day ensured that we are fully cognizant with the complex rules associated with this funding stream in its latest programme.

Venturefest is an annual innovation event for businesses in the East of England. LEES attended as an exhibitor to network with innovation organisations and advise on the eligibility of costs in research projects.

LEES attended this international workshop to network with recipients of US Federal Funding and to learn about key current issues for European organisations in receipt of US Federal Funds, and to gain clarity on some of the post-award issues facing international recipients.
