Join us at ARMA 2021 where LEES are exhibiting, presenting a poster and running two on-demand sessions on auditing and assurance in HEI Research.

Whilst the pandemic restricted us from travelling during 2020 and 2021, the LEES team kept up-to-date by attending and/or presenting at the following events:

NCURA – AM62 – Aug-20. This was the virtual Annual Meeting of the US National Council of University Research Administrators. LEES presented over the differences in EU and US grant audits.

UKRO – Horizon:2020 Audits Webinar – Oct-20. This webinar hosted by UKRO gave an insight into Commission audit procedures.

NIH – Program Funding and Grants Conference – Oct-20. This 3 day virtual conference, hosted by the National Institutes of Health in the USA, gave us insights into current post-award and audit issues for this major funder.

NCURA Financial Research Administration Conference – Mar-21. This is the annual financial conference of the US National Council of University Research Administrators. LEES presented on current issues in auditing research grants during a pandemic.

EARMA Annual Conference – Apr-21. The EARMA annual conference took place virtually and LEES presented on current audit issues for a European audience.

NCURA AM63 – Sep-21. The second virtual annual conference held by NCURA was a hybrid event. LEES presented remotely on current EU audit issues, and EU audits for US organisations.

In October 2019, LEES attended a meeting held by UKRO and UKRI in London for European Liaison Officers from universities and research institution as well as other beneficiaries of H2020 funding. It included discussions on Brexit preparedness and contingency preparations.

LEES attended NCURA’s 61st Annual Meeting in Washington DC and presented a session entitled: Auditor: Friend or Foe?

LEES attended EARMA’s Annual Conference in March 2019 in Bologna, presenting on the challenges facing European Research Managers and Administrators in dealing with various grant audits, including the requirements for US Federal Funds audits.

LEES attended ARMA 2019 in Belfast with an exhibition stand, and presented two parallel sessions: Auditor: Friend or Foe? and the annual Audit and Compliance Special Interest Group update.
